Pest risk analyses based on GBIF-mediated data

Three EPPO pest risk analyses caught in literature tracking this week:

Hygrophila polysperma
Cinnamomum camphora
Cardiospermum grandiflorum

GBIF-mediated occurrences are used both for maps and SDMs.

I recognize the acronym, but what’s the relation of EPPO to the EU and/or EASIN? Anything formal?

I don’t think so:

EPPO is an intergovernmental organization responsible for cooperation and harmonization in plant protection within the European and Mediterranean region. Under the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), EPPO is the regional plant protection organization (RPPO) for Europe.

Only…

In the Euro-Mediterranean region, EPPO has also established many contacts with the European Union Commission, European Food Safety Authority, Eurasian Economic Commission and potential EPPO member countries.
