how to download image data from GBIF?
You can only download image links associated with occurrences from GBIF. GBIF is a data aggregator, and we do not store the multimedia files (image, audio, and video content). The files are hosted by publishers or through third party platforms. Likewise, we do not hold any rights to the multimedia files. For any use of multimedia files, we recommend contacting the rights holders where applicable.
Every occurrence with a related image has value of the term “associatedMedia”. You can use it to download.
If you are familiar with R, you can use package rgbif to automate this process
