Thank you to all of you who have joined our community call in August and/or the GRSciColl session at the SPNHC/TDWG conference last month. It was great to see you all!
We now have a tutorial on the GBIF Data Blog explaining how to upload collection descriptors in GRSciColl. If you are interested, you can read it here: Making collection content discoverable when you don’t have occurrences published on GBIF - GBIF Data Blog.
In other news:
- If you missed it, the recording of the August community call is available here: GRSciColl community call - August 2024
- The synchronization of GRSciColl with Index Herbariorum now works with the suggestion system. This means that editors will now get notified and asked to review new entries coming from Index Herbariorum.
- We are working on making GRSciColl country mediators (editors) visible and recognized for their work (like the GBIF open data ambassadors). I will reach out to country mediators when the time comes to ask them to make/update public profiles on our system.
