I just got this field guide of velvet ants and it’s awesome. The first sentence is “Members of the wasp family Mutillidae are the most interesting and beautiful animals on earth.” this is an auspicious start even if they left out the words “second most” and “after ants”
Love these fuzzy indestructible cute creatures who stomp around the desert getting in everythings business. There are like 4000 species!!
