I added the phrase “including those obtained through remote sensing*” in the explanation which I thought covered telemetry and is the word that came to mind. I could be wrong about it.
I was rereading the explanations (original and my version) again and another problem came to mind: the difference between citations of published information under “Material citation” and “Human observation”. Must material citations have to cite specimens or material samples whereas “Human observations” do not? If that is the distinction, a flora that stated it was based on examination of specimens in … would be human observations whereas one that cites individual specimens or material samples would be able to provide records that fit the Preserved specimen or Material sample category.
Thank you for responding, and so rapidly.
