Understanding basis of record

It is clear in what you wrote here, but not a the link mentioned at top of this discussion: * Human Observation - an output of human observation process eg. evidence of an occurrence taken from field notes or literature or a records of an occurence without physical evidence nor evidence captured with a machine. To me, that suggests that a photograph taken and examined by others, but perhaps not available digitally online, does not fall under Human Observation. But what you write here, it clearly does. I have always thought there is a problem here with Basis of Record and photographs.
