After downloading the database, how can I find the type of mycorrhizal colonization of different plants.
In two txt file “occurence” and “verbatim”, I couldn’t find the mycorrhizal type of different plants in both of them
Hi @dexiang_xu
I don’t think that many GBIF data providers would have nor provide information about mycorrhizal colonisation of different plants.
My best bet would be to check occurrences of fungi species that are potentially mycorrhizal and see if there is any associated data in one of the following fields: associatedTaxa, dynamicProperties, associatedOccurrence or the Resource Relationship extension. I am not sure you will find what you need though.
@dexiang_xu you might reach out to the people at MicrobeNet^Net: https://microbenetwork.net/. They are working on connecting fungal/plant data resources and would likely be able to point you in the right direction.
thank you for your advice. It is indeed difficult to search for data in such a large database, and thank you so much for your advices, I will try it now
thank you so much!I’ll give it a try now
