I am an historian of science and an historian of collections as well as a museum professional. I have held research and research management posts at: Natural History Museum BMNH; Science Museum London; Victoria and Albert Museum; British Museum; Medicinsk Museion Copenhagen among others. I am particularly interested in working across the humanities and the sciences, and helped to set up the Centre for Arts and Humanities Research at the NHM London. I have recently been appointed Visiting Scholar at the Natural History Museum of Denmark, and am involved in research projects taking place at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin Humanities of Nature Department.
