Join us on 7 October at 16:00 CEST for our next Technical Support Hour for GBIF Nodes. Cecilie Svenningsen from the GBIF secretariat will present the nucleotide sequence search, the first step toward further eDNA integration in GBIF.
The sequence search functionality lets users search similar occurrence records by DNA sequences of up to 2,048 base pairs and can be combined with additional filters such as target gene and sequence length, and other occurrence-related filters. The presentation will also cover the processing and data quality measures that were developed to support sequence search and the new filters.
